I was born in Hong Kong to Indian immigrant parents, and have spent my life living in major cities (Hong Kong, Bombay, London, Washington DC, and now, Chicago.) As a young child and adolescent, I was very engaged in my artistic and creative practices but as I got older, I didn't make as much time for them! Now, I'm rediscovering my creative side and loving the versatility of glass.

I first fell in love with glass when I visited Venice at 16; my family and I toured a glass factory in Murano and I watched as a glassblower created a beautiful horse sculpture from a burning hot, liquid lump. I was completely mesmerized by the process and artistry. It wasn't until many, many years later in the spring of 2017, that I took my first one-day glass fusing workshop and was officially hooked.
